Dusty Lamb Passed Away, Obituary Baytown TX

Dusty Lamb, beloved Baytown, Texas, son, is no more, and in his wake, he leaves memories of love, kindness, and unwavering friendship. His untimely death has struck his family, friends, and larger community with shock, as he was remembered for having a big heart, a quick wit, and a gift for bringing people together.

Native-born and bred in the Lone Star State, Dusty had the true heart of a Texan. He created bonds that would last forever with people he encountered and was always ready to lend a helping hand or tell someone something encouraging. Through his good heart, God-given wit, or by simply lighting up a room, Dusty left a lasting impression on people he encountered.

Later in his life, Dusty lived in San Antonio, where he picked up where he left off of community service and giving back. He was a regular contributor to local charity events, most importantly with organizations such as The Kylie Rose Foundation, where he was a great admirer and go-to BBQ cook-off contestant. His willingness to give back and make a positive impact on those around him showed through in all that he accomplished.

As word of his death spread, tearful sympathies poured in from those who adored him. Quinn Schreckenbach posted the deep sadness at the loss of a best friend and recalled Dusty for his legendary hugs and memories. “This is why I say I love you to my friends every time I see them or call them on the phone because you never know when the last time will be,” Quinn said. “Gonna miss you, my brother. Let the light shine, keep smiling, and walk by our sides. You will be sorely missed.”

The Kylie Rose Foundation also honored Dusty, saying, “The Kylie Rose Foundation is saddened to hear of the passing of one of our foundation’s supporters and participant in our BBQ cook-off, Dusty Lamb. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family and friends and all those who knew and loved him.”

Friend and buddy, Jeff Thibodeaux, described a half-century of wonderful memories beginning with little league baseball games through nighttime fishing, volleyball nights, and toasts to life’s milestones shared. “I don’t know how to put the loss that’s struck me and everyone who knew you into words. You touched so many lives with your kind heart and willingness to assist others. Our memories will live forever in my heart. Love you, buddy. R.I.P.”

A memorial service is being arranged to honor Dusty Lamb’s amazing life and the love he shared with so many. Arrangements will be announced to family and friends in the days ahead. Though his death leaves an emptiness that can never be replaced, his spirit will live on in the many lives he touched. Rest in peace, Dusty. You will never be forgotten.
